Phantom of the Opera - Joel Schumacher

From the stage to the silverscreen. The film adaptation, while not the first time, but now with Andrew Lloyd Weber and Joel Schumacher collaborating finally made this film a reality after more than ten years of being conceptualized with various artists being considered to play the role from Sarah Brightman to Antonio Banderas and ended up with relative unknowns. Well, I really haven’t seen the original stage play, or knew before hand the storyline or the songs except for some renditions by Barbra Streisand that were really good. While not really a very good film, I really loved the songs. Weber is a real genius that I’m planning to buy the soundtrack.
