It was just recently that species of the genus Epipedocera was recorded in the Philippines when I gave my Catalan entomologist friend, Eduard Vives, one of two, and he identified it as Epipedocera lunata NEWMAN, 1842. This specimen was captured in Mindanao April 2002.
Last year, I sent him another batch of cerambycid beetles for identification and it included a few specimens of a new Epipedocera species: Epipedocera cabigasiana VIVES, 2005 and will also be published within the year.
