Lechon Festival in my hometown?

Sis: “Dli ka uli eng fiesta puhn? Naa may inasal festival. Makapicture picture ka.” (Aren’t you coming home? There is a lechon (roasted pig) festival. You can take pictures).

Me: “Di pa sure” (Not sure yet)

Above was the SMS my sister and me exchanged. Hmm. Lechon Festival? It will be the first time that my home town will be sponsoring such event during its fiesta on 15 October in honor of the city’s patron saint Sta. Teresa de Avila.

Talisay City is known for the best lechon in Cebu, that artery clogging, cholesterol loaded, succulent, tasty and heavenly food that is always present in important occassions from one’s life milestones to the town/barangay’s fiestas. When I was at home, we usually buy a kilo or two every Sunday for lunch together with dinuguan (pig blood stew with pig’s entrails, a derivative of the roasted pig), ginabot (crispy fried pig intestines) and ice cold bottles of Coke or Sprite.

Mmmm. Thinking about it makes me salivate!

But then, how will this differ with the Lechon Festival in Balayan, Batangas?

    Deliciously lechon cebu! yummmmy. And its true that the meat was tender and juicy because they use native pig for lechon. The meat was tasty which absorbs the aromatic fragrant of herbs and spices. Lechon cebu is really the best lechon.

    Wow lechon cebu taste good talaga.

    Im not from cebu but i love the taste of there lechon. Unlike here in Quezon you need to add sauce para lang may malasahan ka. But when i try to order lechon from lechon cebu wow it taste great. No need to add sauce coz its tasty and yummmy. The tender juicy meat and crunchy skin of lechon cebu wow its very delicious.

    Kalami sa lechon wui. Ilabi na ang kubal nga perting kagumkuma. Yummmy pagkalami. My mouth watering now because of the lechon. Makagutom.

    Sulayi pod ninyo ang inasal sa lechon cebu. Lami ug kagumkum pod ang ilang lechon baboy. Sakto sa timpla ug walay daghan tambok. Din bus-ok sad ang ilang baboy dili parehas sa uban nga gilaplapan ang sulod sa tiyan. Lami jud ang ilang lechon.
