An afternoon in Cebu
Its always good to be at home. With nothing to do all day, just surfing the internet, downloads, listening to music over loud speakers. I can just feel the heavy bass and heart stomping tunes, enveloping, of Sarah Brightman’s Harem, which I first heard being sung by Madredeus in one of the listening stations of Tower Records in Glorrieta. Or even Hale’s The Day You Said Goodnight that has been holding my ears hostage for a couple of days now, joining in song, singing my heart out (yea, I got this MP3 from Arnel and my brother downloaded one over Bearshare) and Aimee Mann selections which I liked while watching the movie Magnolia (unfortunately, no CDs available in the record bars of Manila). Couple this with the cool weather outside as, just like every afternoon, rains are heavy.
This is bliss. This is rest.

Also, today is my father’s birthday. Even if he’s in the Middle East, we celebrated it with my family and cousins who came here at the house. Four 18-inch Yellow Cab pizza (their first branch in Cebu opened at the new Banilad Town Center) paired with Magnolia ice cream: Double Dutch and Halo-halo fiesta flavors.
Happy birthday Pa. ![]()
