Other than Ralph Fiennes in the lead, Fernando Meirelles’ name was another attraction to this movie based from John Le Carre book. Meirelles! He of the Ciudade de Deus fame is just too irresistible to pass. Its a powerful movie. Strong. Its fragmented/flashback style adds and heightens the interest. Coupled with great sceneries of Africa and a thriller storyline that transforms a meek gardener/diplomat to one that took on a worldwide conspiracy is more than enough to convince one to watch this movie.
