Cebu last week…, 2
Some changes and developments that I was able to catch up:

I finally was able to visit the new city hall of Talisay City. The photo in the left is the old municipal building at the Poblacion, near the church, now a city college. At right is the massive and new city hall.

Months ago, the SRP, the new highway traversing the coastlines of Cebu City and Talisay was dragged into the two city mayors quarrel that in a fit of infantile trantrums, Mayor Tomas Osmena of Cebu City had the highway closed to the detriment and grumblings of the riding public especially those from the south of the province. The usual 30 minutes - 1 hour trip from Talisay to Cebu City (with traffic) was cut down to just 10 - 15 minutes. Those who would want to pass this road would need to get a mayor’s permit. When I did arrive last week, that prohibition was finally abolished.
