I’ve never thought that I’ll be coming home for the Sinulog. It should be noted that during the holidays, I was just in Makati and wasn’t thinking of going to Cebu until the end of the month where my cousin Janet, invited me to be the godfather of her newborn child. Not this week. Not this time. But then because of the preparations for the Sinulog as well as for the whole of Visayas, there was just a need. Now, I have an excuse to stay for the weekend to take photos of the Sinulog mardi gras as well as the procession and be back early Monday morning.
Nevermind if my flight this morning was around 0700H and my return trip was booked, of all schedules (due to availability since it is the Sinulog), 0500H. That means that I have to wake up earlier than 0300H. Sigh…
Sinulog. Over at the Cebu/Sugbo the group’s been discussing of having a photo shoot during the mardi gras. Fortunately, I’ll be able to join them.
This evening, I met with Wantet at Ayala Center and she was able to secure for my photo pass (right) for the contest during the Sinulog together with the leaflet showing the routes and schedules (left) at a cost of P500. I’m not sure if i’ll be submitting photos since I’ll already be back in Makati this Monday but the pass will give me unrestricted access during the grand parade.
From Ayala Center, I then went home. And just as I entered the gate, I was surprised to see this lifesize picture of Santa infront of the house. Quite amused as we didn’t have this before
