10 Feb: How did it go?, 2
…continued from yesterday.

Morning at the Buendia MRT and thank god, its not that crowded. Stopped at the Quezon Ave. station, rode a taxi to Lerma and just had a sausage mcmuffin with egg and milo for breakfast at McDo.

It beats to be early in PRC. The first time I went there last 9 January at around 1100H and it was just crowded. As in CROWDED with long queues and lots of people filling almost all empty spaces. Whereas last Friday, it was just lean and fast. Since my professional ID expired last 1999 (really, that long!) I forgot the relevant details including my ID number. Good thing that they’re now computerized and my number is 14611 and fined P1520. I’ll just have to go back by 3 March to get the plastic.
The #59 hunt. I then went to Gilmore via MRT from Recto in search of HP ink #59 (gray for those really stunning black and white photo printed on my HP Photosmart 7960) but darn, it was a really exaspirating experience considering that it’s not really available in all the shops! I even went to PCWorx, an authorized dealer of HP and was just disappointed to not find it there. Thinking of ordering but with a minimum order of 5 pieces at P1300 each is just too much. HP Premium Plus matte photo paper is not also available that’s why I’m thinking of ordering online instead.

After Gilmore, rode again the MRT and had a great lunch of grilled Norwegian salmon and mashed potato over a sauce of spinach, onions and tomatoes at Burgoo. It was just delicious. Salmon is just great!
And as for the news that day? The Philippine Daily Inquirer had its headline Al Gore’s visit to Manila where he delivered a talk on global warming at the RCBC plaza at Ayala cor Buendia Ave. Standard and Poor’s was upbeat on the Philippine economic performance and with its rating upgrade to STABLE, bouyed the peso (Friday but headline story of PDI’s Saturday issue) to three and a half year high! That’s really goodnews with the Philippine peso already at $51.4, a far cry from $56 last year. But Moody’s was a bit pessimistic.
After that great lunch, went home. Played under the sheets with my lalabs
slept and 1700H, left for Greenhills to meet with Jolengs and Stitch. Just didn’t bring my camera that night. Went to Ayala for dinner and settled at Teriyaki Boy where I capped my day with grilled gindara, two of my favorite fish (other is salmon). It was just very delicious with its melt in your mouth tenderness that made my heart flutter with joy, felt an inner peace and just savored its very delicate flavor that fills the senses.
Life will just go on as I face the new year ahead of me.
Posted in chilly but wonderful Baguio.
