Last night in HK

September 8th, 2006

Whew! I’ll be going back tomorrow night. Well, the symposium is just okay. No earthshaking event that would make it really very worthwhile (I hope Lydia would not kill me for writing this, hehehehe…) But on the other hand, I did learn many many things and its an experience for me to attend in this Lepidoptera event. Met lots of new people and am hoping though that what was realized in this 1 week event would mean great things to Lepidoptera conservation and awareness…

    HI Estan,
He, he Stan. Medyo mababaw, no? Tagalog ko na lang. Baka mabasa ng mga taga SEALS. Tagilid yung symp. sa bigat ng moth na usapan. Ang tamang tawag ay Moth Symposium o kaya Roger Kendrick symp. Kita mo naman how emotional yung mama in the end. Ang pinakamagandang nangyari ay makameet ng mga lepidoptera enthusiast mula sa ibang bansa. Sa lahat ng participant, si Roger Kitching lang ang me tamang pananaw. Well, sabi nga nya. What is the benefit to the public of this exercise? He, he. Gusto kong humalakhak when he said that.
He was looking at me in the eye. Alam nya kasi where I am coming from. Habitat
    conservation din kasi sya.

Pero and galing mo Stan. The salagubang mixed well with the moths. Alam ko nakakabato. Kung puede lang tumakas para mag shop, o mag bird and butterfly watching na lang. Pero nakakaawa na yung attendance in the end. Pero marami rin ako natutuhan from the other partcipants-si Dr, Yen at si Dr, Goh especially.
Actually, halos lahat sila moth guys except for Dr. Goh (commercial kasi). But let’s face it. Butterflies are more appealing to people. Pero there is more funding I think on the study of moths. :D Butterflies have been studied extensively already.

Anyhow, on the personal side, I hope you had a good time. As a travel agent, I’d your journal is very helpful.

Please save me the photos on CD. Kailan tayo magkita?
