SUBSCRIBE421 Too many connections from this IP … error

I was upgrading the Wordpress blog of the Cebu Cathedral Museum when during the backup of files via Filezilla, I frequently got the following error that messes up with my download:
421 Too many connections from this IP (<number>) error
Doing a search with Google, I came up with the following solution:
- Proceed to Filezilla and click on File – Site Manager and then input the server details
- Click on the Transfer Settings tab, click on the limit number of simultaneous connections box and change it to 1
That’s it! Simple.
The explanation for this is that when transferring files, Filezilla opens several connections simultaneously but the server only allows one. The rest of the connections are not served and thus the error occurs. With this setting, you are limiting said connection to only one or a sequential transfer of file. Kind of slow but that’s just how it is unless you can convince the server administrator to change the settings.
