2046

I have been watching movies for the past month and during intermission trailers for Wong Kar Wai’s movie “2046″ has been playing. Wow. After his “In the Mood for Love,” I’ve been always looking forward to see his movies. And this time, it has the star studded cast of Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Gong Li and, my favorite, Zhang Ziyi. Its also an official entry to Cannes 2004 but did not win.

But its still a WKW :-)

Hmmm, a cool way to blog in a small yet unobtrusive manner.

Bed Weather

After a week of being transferred to Makati, I’m back in Cebu again to settle some work related undertakings. The wind is cool and the sky is overcast here. Rain has been falling since before noon: drizzle, rain, and drizzle again. What with the reported typhoon Unding meandering across Bicol.

Ahh, so good to spend the afternoon sleeping especially after a much needed massage at Body and Sole. I’ve been wanting to have this soothing massage since last night. Have been spending the day with my friend and his SFC group mates at Olango island for the much publicized bird sanctuary where one can find migratory birds in transit from the north to the south and vice versa.

Well, as of yesterday, not much birds were seen: a couple of Chinese egrets and a snipe feeding in the shallows, and probably a night heron that was roosting under the Pandanus tree just near the reservation center. We were told by our guide that usually, birds are really plentyful when December sets in until january where the migration season peaks. But going there was an experience.

Movies

It seems, I’ve been watching too many movies this time :-)

And many still will come especially that I’m already here in Makati. What with the many film festivals that are being offered from time to time, sometimes, playing back-to-back and the good crop of films that have been screened lately. And oh, my movie schedule for this week:

The Incredibles
Wicker Park (well, I’ll be watching this to see how it fares with the original L’Apartment)
