Sulpicio Lines makes me laugh. Seriously.

What has gone up the minds of Sulpicio Lines? After having their latest debacle, for the nth time, on the sinking of the Princess of the Stars at the height of typhoon Frank, where only less than the 800 plus passengers have been recovered, both living and dead, they are suing the weather bureau PAGASA? They charged that the forecast of the government agency was not reliable and was just guessing. As far as I know, the reason that it is called a weather forecast because in itself, the weather cannot be predicted. Much more a typhoon’s route. The weather bureau has been giving updates as well as posting it in their websites and the ship operator, if they are responsible enough, should make it their priority to look at it and act from their.

It just smacks of desperation that instead of reviewing their ship captains’ assessing skills they are blaming others. Its just plain stupid.

In need of financial aid?

Sometimes, there just comes a time when an unfortunate event happens, like one of our loved ones gets sick and hospital bills just climb up that our traditional source of income can’t keep up with payments. Well, there are many possible sources of ready funds like bank loans or those from other established lenders but unfortunately, the process can be convoluted and tedious that instead of getting a loan as fast as one needs, it can be tied up with the paper work. Or credit card advances are possible but the amount is just limited. Now, there are web based lending institutions that can tide one over an emergency with cash advance loans for those times when money is really needed.

Movies watched: May 08, part 3

This post wraps up the movies I’ve watched for the month of May. Except for the French film, the other three were seen at theaters.

Regarding the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, what a let down. The previous installments were much better. Come to think of it, aliens? What Happens in Vegas, however was way better for a light and mindless comedy.

Iron Man
- Jon Favreau, 2008 (US)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Steven Spielberg, 2008 (US)
What Happens in Vegas - Tom Vaughn, 2008 (US)
Combien tu m’aimes (How Much Do You Love Me) - Bertrand Blier, 2005 (France)

In dire need of a loan?

During these trying times, most regular employees just have to cope with the rising cost of food, fuel and other expenses but what if when incidents happen that needs a big financial outlay but our regular salary can’t cover? Looking for ready cash or loans can be challenging especially with the many lending institutions available with varying interest rates, conditions and requirements. Of course, credit card advances are possible but it can only cover so much. There are also other sources for loans like web based lenders who can readily provide fast cash payday loans that can be handy in times of emergency.
