December 31st, 2009 | 1 Comment

It’s already afternoon of the last day of 2009, and really, the weather’s wet, wet, and wet! Anyway, me, my mother and brother went to the malls to buy stuff for media noche, the midnight dinner to usher in the new year, got my
Balaanong Bahandi books and had sumptuous lunch at Casa Verde at the Ayala Cebu Terraces. Sus, makabungog jud ang ilang ribs and it’s just P188!

Anyway, we will be having blueberry cheesecake, brazo de mercedes, embutido, softdrinks, ice cream, various fruits, cheese, chocolate cake and pansit palabok for tonight. No firecrackers though.

Copy Blu-ray movies with amazing HD quality

December 30th, 2009 | No Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 123 Media Max. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m a movie junkie and I like to watch these in the highest quality possible. That’s why, if it is available in Blu-ray for real HD quality, I prefer to see that. However, these are quite expensive and with a friend who has quite a collection, copying it is the next best thing.

Fortunately, there is 123 Media Max a software package that guarantees you have the best backup possible. It let’s me copy blu-ray movies to DVD with the highest HD quality possible! What’ more, I can also backup DVD movies either to DVDs or to my PC. Search and convert youtube video, videos from cameras, Google Video, Metacafe, MyVideo, blip.tv, Putfile, Break and Myspace to DVD. Not only that, I can use these in my gadgets and devices. Its portable media on the go as you can also use the software to store in smart phone, Apple TV, iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, PSP, PS3, XBOX 360, Zune, Gigabeat, Creative Zen, Blackberry and more.

You can also create DVDs from MPEG4, AVI, Windows Media Video (WMV), DVR and TIVO files; multiple video files editing the audio and video pieces independently and create widescreen (16:9) format. Other than that, you can convert audio and music tracks to MP3s for your PSP, iPod, PS3, XBOX 360, Zune, Gigabeat, Zen, etc. Its a wonderful software that has plenty of features!

With this, I can make unlimited backups of blu-ray movies that are playable in blu-ray players, DVDs and the Sony PS3.

2009 is drawing to a close and possible plans for 2010

December 29th, 2009 | No Comments

How time flies fast. In just a matter of around thre days, 2009 will end and the new year is here. What will be in store for me? I’m not sure, but I do am hoping for the following:

  • Get fit and be trim by running. Yep, I’m really planning, for good, to do this religiously. Start out slow, probably follow the couch-to-5 plan as well as make a blog for it to keep me motivated as well as follow my progress
  • More photo projects. I wish that what was planned since last year will finally be realized as what was told to me by the book author. I badly need this project! Also, I just wish that upcoming negotiations for image licensing will push through. I’ just hope too that there will be plenty of talks that I will deliver.
  • Love? Lots of heartache but also lots of happy times. On to a new year of being together.
  • Travels would definitely push through, if the projects will start. I’m looking at Basilan and those areas that I haven’t been to before.

So far, that is still what I am looking forward to.

Cool Dungeon & Dragons spellcasting sodas

December 20th, 2009 | No Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Jones Soda. All opinions are 100% mine.

I never thought that sodas can be like this limited edition Dungeons and Dragons Jones Soda. Just imagine, a popular game that I’ve enjoyed when I was a child is also available as drinks with flavors that will surely pique one’s curiosity:

  • Potion of Healing
  • Sneak Attack
  • Dwarven Draught
  • Illithid Brain Juice
  • Bigby’s Crushing Thirst Destroyer
  • Eldritch Blast

Wow, it surely brought me back to the game! Speaking of the flavors, I was asking myself how do these taste? If I drank “Potion of Healing” will I taste strawberries or hints of it that will refresh me from a very tiring day? “Eldritch Blast” with its green color might hint of refreshing green apples cooling one from a hot sunny afternoon? Or does “Illithid Brain Juice,” basing from its color is indeed grape flavored?

I think this limited edition soda can be a hit with gamers and those familiar with it. The flavors is also something that I think many in the general public will really take notice and will want to taste. Personally, I really want to try these and see for myself if “Bibgy’s Crushing Thirst Destroyer” or “Dwarven Draught” are sodas that I’ve been wanting to drink. With the coming holiday season, I’m sure this will be a good gift idea, a break from the usual predictable items received. And for the avid D&D gamer, this might even be treasured and cherished.

What about you? Check these out and tell me what you want to drink.

I like my new MSI CR400

December 20th, 2009 | No Comments

Just had this one! It’s already five days since I got my MSI CR400 notebook computer and I just love it! While it doesn’t have a dedicated video RAM, it is in fact shared up to 512 MB, I upped the RAM to 4GB, has a 320GB hard disk and a Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz processor. All for the price of P30,999!

Initial complaints? Hmmm, not so much but with the HOME key placed beside the BACKSPACE, I often press it and mess my write up. Anyway, as I will get used to it, it will hopefully won’t bother me.
