I was browsing moonflower’s, aka Tina, Deviant Art site and found that some of my photos were posted there. While I gave my permission for her to post some at her site, the Mayon pic was never mentioned to me. What concerned me most was that not all were properly given credit and no link to my blog or site was even included. I raised this to her via a comment in the posted images and thankfully, she rectified it. Thanx Tina.

I’m now thinking of adding a watermark to my images.

Photofriday challenge: Luscious

February 17th, 2005 | No Comments

Photofriday challenge for the week is Luscious. This photo was taken last Sunday while I was buying some strawberries at the Baguio City market where I stayed for the night after a few days vacation in Sagada. And how the price lowered since I was there last December. From 80 pesos a kilo, it was just at half the price. Still sweet, delicious and luscious.

Aren’t my strawberries just inviting?

I have posted a series of photos (added everyday) from my latest trip in Atimonan and Gumaca, Quezon at my new photoblog Binary Silver. A mixture of colored and black and white, these 13 photos shows images from these two locations from a family drying fish along the highway in Angeles, Atimonan, people along the church to a detail of the entrance of the old Spanish era cemetery.

Binary Silver

I have just installed my new photoblog BINARY SILVER. A Wordpress 1.5 gamma installation using a modified Manji theme. While it is not yet complete, I still have to finalize the static pages and other links, it is already viewable and commentable.

Why BINARY SILVER? In the earlier days of photography, a photosensitive compound of silver (silver salts) was used in getting the image starting with Nicéphore Niepce, then developed further by his partner Louis Daguerre. William Henry Fox Talbot then introduced the calotype process that used silver iodide. In the digital era, binaries - ones and zeros, are the components of information. In a way, BINARY SILVER just translates to digital film.
