Time’s “The Top 10 Everything of 2009″ is very entertaining

#2 The Watchful Eye of Twitter, from Top 10 Editorial Cartoons list

I had so much fun reading through Time’s The Top 10 Everything of 2009! Entertaining is such an understatement especially that the list covers News, Politics and Science; Arts and Entertainment; Business Tech and Sports; and Pop Culture. The Top 10 Editorial Cartoons was amusing and so are the lists covering fashion faux pas, new species, as well as the Top 10 Pictures of the Year.

Check it out!

2009 is drawing to a close and possible plans for 2010

December 29th, 2009 | No Comments

How time flies fast. In just a matter of around thre days, 2009 will end and the new year is here. What will be in store for me? I’m not sure, but I do am hoping for the following:

  • Get fit and be trim by running. Yep, I’m really planning, for good, to do this religiously. Start out slow, probably follow the couch-to-5 plan as well as make a blog for it to keep me motivated as well as follow my progress
  • More photo projects. I wish that what was planned since last year will finally be realized as what was told to me by the book author. I badly need this project! Also, I just wish that upcoming negotiations for image licensing will push through. I’ just hope too that there will be plenty of talks that I will deliver.
  • Love? Lots of heartache but also lots of happy times. On to a new year of being together.
  • Travels would definitely push through, if the projects will start. I’m looking at Basilan and those areas that I haven’t been to before.

So far, that is still what I am looking forward to.

Pacquiao vs Cotto is the most awaited boxing fight event of the year

November 13th, 2009 | No Comments

This weekend’s fight, 14 November (15 November in the Philippines) Filipino Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Angel Cotto, a Puerto Rican, is the most awaited boxing event of the year! Dubbed the “FIREPOWER” it is the World Welterweight championship fight that most boxing aficionados and boxing fans and fighters have been awaiting.

Six-time world champion pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquio, with 37 boxing knockouts to date (75.5%) is pitted against three-time world champion Miguel Cotto with 27 boxing knockouts under his belt (77.14%). This boxing fight will be slated at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. For me and my cousins, it will be a watch on HBO boxing pay per view.

Ice Castle's halohalo special

Ice Castle's halo halo special

I got myself distracted yesterday. As I’ve posted previously, I just went uptown, hang out and had a good massage. Nothing made me feel better than to relax and my muscles kneaded like bread. Before going home, I decided to eat at Larsian, that Cebu barbecue place that has been in existence for a long time.

I used to eat there. In high school, me and my classmates would go to this place long before it was formally housed under a roof. When I was in college and especially, when I already worked, coming home to Cebu would also mean a trip to Larsian. Good cheap comfort food.

Being sated, I still managed to go over Ice Castle at the Raintree Mall and had a bowl of halo halo, enough to cool my head off. And instead of riding the jeepney to the Citilink terminal, I walked the length of Fuente Osmena to the terminal.

Cleared head. Depressed a little.

Not in a good mood, depressed

October 26th, 2009 | No Comments

For the past days, my amour never talked to me or replied to my calls and texts, a casualty of misconceptions and assumptions which aren’t true. I’m a bit sad. Depressed. Blue. It also never helps that the weather outside is a bit gloomy, and now, it just rained. Hard. Why o why…

Anyway, despite having many things to do this afternoon, I’m not just up to it. I just tweaked some google ads placement as well as added a couple of Nuffnang ads to further increase my earnings. Last night, I was supposed to meet my classmate at the ACFJ for a shoot at the Pasil fishmarket at 0200H but I texted her that I will not be able to come as I’m “not in good spirits.” I can’t just say that I’m a bit depressed.

I want to go out this afternoon. Probably watch a movie but upon checking, no film worth watching. How about a massage? Or maybe just hang out at the mall or have overpriced coffee or watch people.

Please. Let this end.
