At last! Paypal has already included the Philippines in its extensive network. It was a problem for many Filipinos before especially when buying/selling in the internet especially ebay. But now, thousands will be happy!

Featured at thePinoy.net

Whoa! I just learned that my buses series in flickr was featured/blogged at thePinoy.net.

Well, at least, this info sort of made my rather depressing day. You see, when your loved one still push you again and again despite having been reformed already, turning a new leaf so to speak, just makes you feel bad!

Salagubang featured in pinoycentric.com

pinoycentric[1].JPG

I just got a text message from my amour (who emailed me the above image) saying that, at last, my article has been featured in pinoycentric.com, an online journal for Filipinos that is based in the US. Too bad, the picture they used was badly cut. Anyway, its not always that my salagubang is being highlighted :-)

Pinoycentric, by the way, will be featured in inq7.net for its launch.

Online Pinoy slang resource

February 6th, 2006 | 3 Comments

Having a problem with some Pinoy (Filipino) slang while reading online websites or hearing it direct from a horse’s mouth? Look up Copongcopong’s Pinoy slang dictionary or PinoySlang and most likely you’ll find the word in this online resource.
(These links were posted in the discussion forum of Flickr’s Philippine pool, when Don Rodulfo, started a thread inquiring about some Pinoy slang that he’s having a hard time reading in online news websites.)

Sidney’s Caracol in Makati shots

Sidney Snoeck, a Belgian blogger currenlty living in the Philippines got some great photos of the Caracol Festivities that is held in Makati every January coinciding with the Sinulog event in Cebu. The colors are awesome, costumes are elaborate and lots of smiling faces recorded by his alert eye.
As I’ve blogged before, I was supposed to attend this festival but with the business trip in Cebu, opted to cover again the Sinulog. Well, maybe next year. I hope.
