I’m back

June 14th, 2005 | No Comments

I’m back in the office. After almost two weeks out of Makati: was in Puerto Princesa for a meeting with the Palawan team, proceeded to Coron, Busuanga for our company outing, and to North Luzon - Nueva Vizcaya, Banaue, Tuguegarao and Pagudpud for some collecting with French colleagues, its business as usual. Had plenty of things to catch up as well as cozy up to my new rented condo at Cityland Dela Rosa.

Back to work

January 5th, 2005 | No Comments

Arrived in Manila a little past four yesterday afternoon carrying my luggage, two laptops and pasolubong’s of dried mangoes, mango puree and Camiguin’s pastel for my office mates and personal trainer. Whew. Heavy. But this is already okay. My officemates would have wanted me to bring a whole lechon (roasted pig), which Cebu, particularly my hometown of Talisay, is quite famous for. But the thought of ordering, packaging and transporting it was enough reason for me not to bring one. Maybe some other time when I’m not much loaded and it would not be my expense. They do liked the pastel though.

Back to work again today. But have to adjust myself from holiday mode.

Orientation cum work, work and work

October 24th, 2004 | No Comments

20 - 24 October

Together with my teamates for the new group that was formed, we came to Makati to meet our new managers, get a feel of the place, our new workmates and familiarize with the functions. Already my first day was rather busy that I was able to go out of the office at about 1900H after a meeting with some colleagues from other groups planning for the upcoming tasks that we need to finish before the month ends.

A new role

October 19th, 2004 | No Comments

I was just given my appointment papers yesterday, and starting 2 Nov 04, I’ll be reporting to Makati for a new role. Until now, I can’t describe what I’m feeling. A sense of joy, relief but at the same time, queasy, jittery but looking forward to a new career in the country’s business capital.

Right now, I’m quite busy preparing my things, taking note of what to bring and what to leave behind. I have less than two weeks to settle all this as well as handle some personal matters in Bukidnon and CDO. Tomorrow, I’ll be flying to Makati for a getting-to-know meeting with my new manager as well as team mates. After that, scout for a place to stay.

This is what I’ve been longing for and its all coming to realization.
